What I like most about my internship experience?

At Flowclass, I had the opportunity to work on practical SEO projects, which was both nerve-wracking and exciting. I learned how to analyse a website’s SEO performance, propose optimization suggestions, and actively participate in their implementation. I used WordPress, Yoast and Elementor to publish SEO-friendly blogs. This internship taught me that SEO is not just theoretical; it requires practical implementation and continuous improvement.

One thing I really enjoyed about Flowclass was the great atmosphere and the flexibility given by Flowclass. For example, the flexible working hours and remote working options. They emphasised quality over quantity, allowing me to have a steady stream of inspiration even when working from home.

Things learned from my internship

As a Digital Marketing Internship, I given a variety of tasks. This involved improvement of Google rankings of clients’ websites, web pages design, and keyword research. Apart from this, I also conducted research, implemented SEO strategies, and created visually appealing web designs. Furthermore, I also had to define target audiences and develop targeted marketing campaigns.

The company culture is definitely my favourite part of the digital marketing internship. The open plan office at Flowclass made it easy to ask questions from seniors. "

To improve search rankings, I conducted in-depth research on keywords, analysed competitors, and implemented SEO techniques. This includes on-page optimisation, link building, and content improvements. I worked closely with the clients to understand their brand identity and target audience. It ensures that the web pages I designed aligned with their goals and provided an excellent user experience. I also conducted market research to identify target audience demographics, interests, and behaviours.

Through my efforts, I successfully improved the search rankings of clients’ websites, resulting in increased visibility, organic traffic, and higher conversions. The websites began to appear prominently in search results, leading to greater exposure and attracting relevant users. The visually appealing web designs I created helped enhance user engagement and satisfaction. By defining target audiences and running targeted marketing campaigns, I achieved improved reach and engagement.

Challenges that I met during my internship

After completing my DSE, I began my digital marketing internship journey at Flowclass. In the beginning, I had to learn a lot about SEO, including website optimization, keyword research, link building, and more. These skills involved many aspects that I hadn’t learned in school, such as building websites, understanding complex website operations and backends, understanding client needs, addressing client inquiries, and even writing informative blogs. Although it was challenging, my mentor and teammates were incredibly supportive, guiding me step by step and providing me with ample opportunities for hands-on learning, which helped me quickly get up to speed.

My recommendation for future internships

#1: Be proactive – Look for work so that you will have the chance to learn as well as to contribute.

#2: When in doubt, never be afraid to ask! I found that my supervisors are more than happy to answer my queries.

#3: Be yourself – Internships are a chance for employers to know you but also for you to understand your prospective employer and to decide if both are a good fit for each other; be yourself so that you will be able to make a happy decision at the end of the day.

Conclusion

In short, my digital marketing internship experience at Flowclass was enriching and practical. I learned a lot about SEO expertise and practical skills, which will greatly benefit my future career. I look forward to continuing my learning and growth in the field of digital marketing.
